On Monday 25th November, London Northwestern Railway once again supported White Ribbon Day – campaigning to end violence towards women and girls, by encouraging a conversation alongside the charity’s 2024 theme ‘It Starts with Men’.

Bletchley White Ribbon Day Stand

Passengers visiting stations London Euston, Watford Junction, Birmingham New Street, Stone, and Nuneaton, alongside Bletchley on Tuesday 26th, were encouraged to make the White Ribbon promise - a personal commitment to never use, excuse or remain silent about men’s violence against women and girls.

Working alongside station adopters, Network Rail, the Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership, and the Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership, stations across our network will be fundraising for White Ribbon, alongside internal campaigns and fundraising across our depots, control rooms and head offices.

Stone Station White Ribbon Day Stand

White Ribbon is the UK’s leading charity for preventing violence against women and girls by addressing the root causes of men’s violence against women. The charity works to remove harmful attitudes and behaviours surrounding gender norms, as well as gender inequality and gender-based violence.

As a White Ribbon accredited organisation, we are committed to preventing harassment, abuse and violence against women and girls through promoting gender equality, raising awareness and ensuring that men as well as women are part of the solution.
