L1LSPUD is bringing his famous spuds to University of Northampton for Freshers’ Week
Freshers arriving in Northampton this September can tuck into a tasty university welcome, as TikTok star L1LSPUD rolls onto the UON campus for a special one-day takeover.
Dylan Newman, better known online as L1LSPUD, and son of viral sensation Spudman, has teamed up with us here at London Northwestern Railwayto bring his famous loaded jacket potatoes to the University of Northampton (UON) during Welcome Week on Wednesday 23rd September, exclusively for UON students.
Alongside getting their hands on a L1LSPUD baked potato, university students will be able to take part in games and competitions while they queue, with free spuds and LNR merchandise up for grabs throughout the day.
And, one lucky fresher could bag something even bigger than their lunch… Students who sign up to hear more will be entered into a competition to win a Student Season Ticket for the following term, giving them the chance to travel by train for free.

The collaboration keeps LNR’s relationship with the Newman family firmly on track, following a series of popular events with Dylan’s dad, Ben Newman, better known to millions of social media users as Spudman.
Famous for serving loaded jacket potatoes from his Tamworth van, Ben became a viral sensation after videos of his interactions with customers attracted a huge following online. Now, LNR is bringing the next generation of the spud dynasty to Northampton.
The event is part of LNR’s drive to introduce students to rail travel from the very beginning of their university journey and help them travel to and from campus at a more affordable price. The ticket can also be used at any time during the travel period – meaning it can also be used at weekends.

L1LSPUD and LNR will be at the University of Northampton, located outside of Sunley Hotel, on Wednesday 23 September from 10am – 4pm,as part of the university’s Welcome Week activities.
