Booking Office Assistant

Be the welcoming face of LNR stations, helping passengers with tickets, journey planning, and accessibility services. We’re looking for someone confident, adaptable, and customer‑focused, ready to deliver excellent service and communicate travel information clearly.

  • Process ticket sales and support customers with journey planning and accessibility needs

  • Keep the booking office clean, inviting, and ensure equipment is working properly

  • Handle cash securely while following company procedures

  • Share travel updates clearly and assist Station Management when required

Customer Service Assistant/Train Dispatcher

Be the reassuring presence on the platform, combining safe train dispatch with outstanding customer service. At LNR, we’re looking for confident communicators who are adaptable, customer‑focused, and ready to take ownership of tasks to deliver first‑class support.

  • Safely dispatch trains and keep services running smoothly

  • Provide clear travel updates and assistance, especially during disruptions

  • Carry out Passenger Assist duties to ensure all customers board comfortably and safely

  • Take an active role in managing the platform environment, prioritising customer safety and service quality

Customer Information Assistant

Our Customer Information Assistants are our helping hands across our stations, supporting our staff and passengers during delays and disruptions, and making sure everyone has the information they need to travel with us. We’re looking for confident communicators who are customer-focused, calm under pressure, and can use initiative to ensure passengers enjoy smooth journeys on our railways.

  • Liaise with train control rooms and staff at the station to disseminate information clearly and proactively

  • Record and announce delays and disruptions, as well as re-platforming or changes to services

  • Carry out assistance requests from passengers, and ensure their destination station is informed

Customer Service Host

This role differs depending on your location, but the core focus is delivering excellent customer service across LNR stations, keeping passengers informed, and responding to any queries they have before travelling with us. We’re seeking positive, approachable people who are customer-focused and looking to make a difference to passenger journeys.

  • Provide clear, friendly information and assistance to passengers at the station

  • Support customers with enquiries, complaints, and travel needs, ensuring issues are resolved promptly

  • Work closely with other train station staff to keep the station running smoothly and deliver excellent service

Retail Travel Advisor

Be the go‑to source of travel information at LNR stations, offering clear updates and friendly support to passengers. We’re looking for someone calm under pressure, detail‑focused, and customer‑minded, with strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.

  • Keep passengers informed by updating information screens and sharing travel updates

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming station environment

  • Assist with train dispatch and provide passenger support where needed
  • Offer accurate travel advice during disruption and help customers with queries on tickets, timetables, and refunds
