Sleigh your way on over to Birmingham and join in the festive celebrations

It seemed like the Grinch stole Christmas last year as Christmas markets across the UK were cancelled due to the pandemic. But this year, Santa’s coming back to town!

With many magical memories to make, you sure don’t want to miss out on this festive fun.

Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market

Hold your horses… or reindeers in this case as Birmingham Christmas market returns on Thursday 4 November – Thursday 23 December 2021 between 10am – 9pm (except on Remembrance Sunday when the market will be open from 1pm - 9pm).

Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is the highlight of many people’s calendars on the run-up to Christmas, with visitors travelling from all over the UK to tuck into festive treats and traditional toys and gifts.

Donuts at Birmingham Christmas Market

From coated pretzels, bratwursts and chestnuts roasting on an open fire, there is plenty to tickle your tastebuds in the UK’s second city. You can even wash down your treats with a gluhwein or two (if you’re old enough… obviously) or head on over to the big wheel and ice rink to add that extra magical experience to your Christmassy trip.

Whilst there, why not enjoy the live music programme on Victoria square from local acts to musicians from across the water in Germany. With lunchtime and evening music sessions (Monday – Friday) and music performances all day (Saturday – Sunday) you’ll definitely be rocking around the Christmas tree in no time.

Or, if you want to take a break from the live bands, why not pick up some presents for your friends and family that will sit perfectly underneath your Christmas tree? From handcrafted wooden decorations, to baubles, lamps, jewellery and much more; you’ll be sure to find that perfect gift.
