London Northwestern Railway adopts Recite Me tool to make its website more inclusive for our customers
In a bid to make a more inclusive and accessible customer journey, we have invested in Recite Me . The accessibility tool, which has now been installed on our website, allows every user to access the tools they need to create a unique experience, suited to them.
Over one billion people worldwide encounter barriers when trying to read and understand content online - due to disabilities, learning difficulties, visual impairments or if people speak English as a second language. Without additional accessibility and language options, this can leave people unable to perform or complete everyday tasks to the best of their ability. This can include day-to-day responsibilities such as paying bills, researching services and support, applying for a job, or even booking a train.
The accessible tool contains a number of different features that allow customers the opportunity to customise the way they interact with our website. This includes a screen reader, reading support tools, styling, and translation.
We have spent time this year ensuring the feature runs smoothly throughout the entirety of its website. The tool bar can be found across the top of both the website – under ‘accessibility tools’ – ready to be customised.
