Disruption to train services to and from London Euston

Train services to and from Euston will be severely disrupted later today. Network Rail engineers need to repair overhead power lines in the Wembley area, north of London.

Train services to and from the capital will be subject to delay and cancellation.

There will be no services leaving Euston after 2100 hours tonight as Network Rail will need access to the track to make further repairs through the night.

Closing the line overnight will have an impact on Sunday morning services. Passengers are advised to avoid travel before 1000 hours and to check for the latest information at www.nationalrail.co.uk .

A spokesman for London Northwestern Railway said "There is significant damage to overhead electric wires. This severely restricts the train services we can run later today and will affect Sunday morning travel too. We have arranged rail replacement transport where possible and ticket acceptance with other train operators. We will do all we can to keep people moving but we have limited capacity and there will be disruption. We encourage anyone delayed by 15 minutes or more to claim compensation.
