Meet at the School Shop just before 2pm for a one-and-a-half-hour tour, which includes the Butterfield-designed Main Chapel. There's plenty to recognise from Thomas Hughes's Rugby-set novel Tom Brown's Schooldays including the notorious 'birching tower'. Ancient rugby memorabilia abounds and there are insights into famous past pupils include poet Rupert Brooke and author Lewis Carroll.
