Designed by celebrated architect Sir Basil Spence in the aftermath of the bombing of the city in 1940, the new cathedral was officially opened in 1962 and contains striking examples of 1950s and 1960s art. The ruins of the old cathedral are open daily and for a small additional charge, you can climb the cathedral tower for breathtaking panoramic views of Coventry.

Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, last adm 4pm, Sun 12noon-4pm, last adm 3pm, cathedral ruins open Mon-Sun 9am-5pm or dusk if earlier, visiting times for the new cathedral and ruins subject to services and special events
