Season Ticket compensation discount

This page is for customers who have purchased Season Tickets which are eligible for 3% compensation, under the West Midlands Trains compensation scheme, but have not yet claimed.

If you have not already received your 3% discount, you can use our online form to claim for your discount.

Annual Season Tickets 15 December 2019 to 1 January 2020

If you purchased your Annual Season Ticket or Annual Travelcard between 15 December 2019 and 1 January 2020 and did not receive a discount at the point of purchase, you may be eligible for a 3% refund.

Season Tickets from 2 January 2020

If you purchased a Season Ticket or Season Travelcard (ranging from 1 week to Annual) from 2 January 2020 onwards and did not receive a discount at the point of purchase, you may be eligible for a 3% refund. This is specifically for customers who purchased their season ticket online, or via a third-party retailer unable to offer the 3% discount at the point of purchase.

Claims may be made for Season Tickets or Season Travelcards meeting these criteria until 1 January 2021.

All other retail providers (including online) will automatically apply the discount after Thursday 16th July 2020, so if you purchased your Season Ticket after this date there is no need to apply for the discount.

Before you start

In order to submit a claim, supporting documentation will need to be collected as part of the application process.

This includes:

  • An image of the purchased Season Ticket or Season Travelcard
  • or, a Credit Card/Bank Statement showing proof of purchase should it not be possible to provide an image of the ticket
